Well it has been a crazy week for us. Last weekend Steve, Patricia and Sammy were in the Christmas musical at Oaks Bible Church. Sammy was Baby Jesus, Steve sang in the choir and gave his testimony, Patricia played flute, rang in handbells and was in choir sort of – she spent a lot of time feeding Sammy so she didn’t always sing. Sammy was a perfect angel as Baby Jesus and Steve, well, he brought tears to peoples eye with his testimony. Patricia had fun playing her flute and ringing and singing when she got the chance.
Leya had fun too. She was there opening night with family and then Missy took her during the first performance on Saturday and helped watch her second performance at church. Sunday she was in the nursery both performances but had fun in there as she was the only one in there. She was tired when we got home on Sunday night, we all were but we all had fun.
Tonight we are driving to Fresno to be with Steve’s family for the weekend. It will be Sammy’s first road trip but we are traveling at night we are hoping he sleeps. We know Leya will sleep especially since we are trying to only allow her one nap today which she is down for right now. It will be interesting to see how the afternoon goes and if she refuses to hold off on a nap. We will be dealing with a cranky kid but it will probably be worth it to have her sleep all the way to Fresno.
We got Sammy dedicated earlier this month. Roger and Tricia are his God parents and we were glad they were able to be apart of the dedication. We all got a kick that Sammy started to cry as Craig started to pray but then stopped once he got into his God parents arms. Kids are funny that way.
As Christmas approaches we can’t help but remember our Savior’s birth and all that He has blessed us with over the years. We have two beautiful children, Steve has a new job, Patricia is adjusting to being a full time mom, Leya is coming into her own as a toddler and Sammy, well, he is changing each and every day and becoming this cute little man. He is cooing more and more and when he smiles, he really smiles and lights up the room.
Anyways, we hope you enjoy the pictures! We will have some cool ones of Christmas Tree Lane from Fresno next week and the kids Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
